BIO
My name is Leshidi Semono
When I am not studying, I am volunteering to causes close to my heart through Volunteer NOW organisation. These causes include but not limited to children and bridging the gap between them and resources.
I enjoy drawing and spending time with family and friends. I hope to study law upon qualifying and working as a teacher, with hopes of one day becoming a children’s rights attorney and law maker.
growing up underprivileged has allowed me to lean into my empathy and play my part in society the best possible way I can. I am a relatable woman with confidence and the power to evoke others to feel confident and to want better for themselves.
Becoming Miss Soweto 2022 is something that is bigger than myself and it is important to me. I say this because growing up I have been drawn to support and respond to others in times of need and I plan to do that through this platform.
Winning Miss Soweto 2022 would be a dream come true. This will further show young women that we can grow outside of the conditions that we grew up in and create our own narrative, enabling me to leave the door open for others to walk into
